Delhi has been the historical seat of power in India. And through the centuries, although rulers and dynasties have come and gone, and politics has evolved, patronage and intrigue between the elites has remained largely unchanged.
This Durbar includes not only political parties, the government and its bureaucracy, but also other powerful players like the various lobbies and special interest groups, courts and of course, the media.
Delhi Durbar is an experiment in alternative journalism to provide reportage of the goings-on behind the curtains and news headlines. Follow Delhi Durbar on Twitter for the latest updates.
Delhi Durbar is run by the team from the defense news website, StratPost, and was conceived by editor Saurabh Joshi, who has worked in print, television as well as internet news media.
Besides defense and strategic affairs, his past assignments have included reporting from Kashmir, coverage of terror strikes as well as election coverage from all over India. He has worked for various news organizations in India and abroad, including the Boston-based newspaper The Christian Science Monitor. Saurabh has studied journalism and law at the University of Delhi.
